COGIDATA EDV-Service Fürst KG was founded in 1978 and is
working in the EDP-Area since.
It's main area is positioned in the area of Computer programs for
Graphics, Communications and Dataautomatisation.
Development of Software packages and individual applications were
done mainly in 2 directions:
We are also working in the EDI-Area
(SONERA Ediserver, TRADEEXPRESS) and we do all services to
establish data transmission
connections and also application linking for all national and international
EDI Services (EDIFACT, VDA, ANSI X.12, ODETTE, TRADACOMS, ...).
Ediserver, TRADEEXPRESS
has also been certified by SAP.
Our Software packages for HP3000, Unix/Xenix Computers and PC (DOS/Windows)
are mainly used for Telex, Teletex and Telefax. They are made for the
general public and can be easily expanded with additional modules.
Our main development in this area is a message switching application
using computers at the Deutsche Bundespost. We also provide a Gateway
between BTX and Telex for the
Deutsche Telekom.
We also developed individual technical solutions in "commercial"
areas (e.g. automatic control of weighing machines).
COGIDATA's most important aim is to improve their customer's usage
of information- and communication technologies.
We develop applications (user-controlled software) as well as
additional software to extend the capabilities of existing software
packages.
We estimate ourselves as independent from any hardware producer. We cooperated in several projects with companies like Hewlett Packard, Digital, IBM and Tandem.
Hewlett Packard has nominated Cogidata 1995 as
"Client/Server Integrator"
and also as "Internet Integrator" in 1996.
This means that we became partner of Hewlett Packard concerning the
integration of HP3000-Installations into existing LANs.
We also make individual projects in commercial surroundings and we
have been working for Hewlett Packard (internal) and the
Austrian Railways (ÖBB) for years.
Recently, COGIDATA concentrates it's efforts more and more on Network and Client/Server Integration as well as programming in Windows NT.
